The Wielkopolska Business School was founded in 1991, within the frameworks of the Foundation "Managers for Wielkopolska", established by key institutions from the region: The University of Economics in Poznań, the Provincial Government, the Wielkopolska Chamber of Industry and Commerce and "Solidarity" Regional Committee. The mission of The Wielkopolska Business School is meeting, in a comprehensive and professional way, the expectations concerning development of managerial skills of the managers from companies and other institutions and implementing the most recent strategies which enable efficient activity in the contemporary market environment. Each year around 2000 managers from various companies and institution participate in about 100 trainings and courses. Since 1991 over 41,000 managers have been trained at the Wielkopolska Business School. The main areas of activity of the Wielkopolska Business School:
The teaching staff of the Wielkopolska Business School consists of about a hundred lectures and consultants who were trained in Great Britain, France, the USA and in other countries. The leading programme of the Wielkopolska Business School are MBA studies. This programme is addressed to managerial staff of companies and other institutions (Executive MBA). MBA programme has been run in the Wielkopolska Business School in co-operation with the Nottingham Trent University, since 1991 and graduates receive a diploma of this prestigious British University. The Wielkopolska Business School has 937 MBA graduates. At present 95 participants are studying at various stages of the MBA programme. MBA Graduates and Students Association of Wielkopolska Business School - MBA Club has been operating very actively.
